Job Overview:


The mandate of this position is to execute data analysis, develop tactics and monitor results relative to established and delinquent customers. As a member of the Customer Analytics Centre of Excellence of the Bank, the Late Stage Credit Risk department plays a key role by using data, research and analysis to gain insight into and develop Credit Risk strategies for established and delinquent customers.

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Manager, Late Stage Credit Risk.
  • Work directly with Analytic, Credit Risk and Marketing peers to develop a deeper understanding of our customers and prioritize business challenges.
  • Apply curiosity and skills to clarify business, data and analytical issues and help develop solutions.
    Formulate the solution plan. These could be in the form of customer development strategy (including marketing and credit risk), direct marketing programs, product development research and a wide range of other related analytical problems.
  • Manage multiple work assignments in a fast paced, ever-changing business environment.

Required Competencies

  • Minimum undergraduate degree in an analytical area (e.g.: Math, Statistics, Operations Research, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or Finance)
  • Experience in credit and/or statistical and/or financial analysis.
  • Excellent relationship, facilitation and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and develop solutions that meet the business needs.
  • Demonstrated initiative in using technical or analytical skills to automate and simplify tasks.
  • Demonstrated significant curiosity and experience in regard to questioning and understanding consumer behaviour.
  • Credit Card, Personal Insurance or other Financial Services experience.
  • Experience in the development of customer segmentation and profiling strategies.
  • Knowledge of predictive modeling / data mining software (e.g.SAS).
  • Knowledge of credit scoring and strategy development techniques.
  • Experience with credit scoring.
