Job Overview:
The mandate of this role is focused on delivering on results through the ongoing management of: product design parameters, market positioning/promotion, system capability development/innovation and operational process improvements. The incumbent supports growth of credit card portfolio (i.e. Revenue, Volume, Profit) by leading and partnering with international representatives to devise
cost-effective, customer-centric strategies and tactics that leverage present local market conditions
and identify/prioritize future market opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Credit Card P& L Management
Manage Credit Card P&L across Caribbean and Central America driving key messages
to IB partners and country counterparts.
Identify/communicate opportunities and work with regions to set growth targets across
the division and manage expenses.
Manage Credit Card budget ensuring that funds are properly allocated to maximize
growth opportunities and position continued growth in the upcoming years.
Measure and monitor programs to ensure return on investment and targets are met.
Evaluate and approve all project charters. Assess business cases.
Understand, gather information and communicate to Executives about potential impact
on performance of any local economic and political situation, competitors' activities
and local IB initiatives in place.
Business Planning
Support the development and negotiation of annual business plans.
Credit Cards Strategy
Develop, discuss and communicate country specific short-term and long-term
strategy plans for Caribbean and Central America.
Drive Credit Cards solutions to maximize synergies across department,
business lines and divisions (Virtuous Cycle, Club Sueldo, Pre-Approvals across segments).
Product Design & Development
Champion product opportunity project assessing Retail, Consumer Finance and Commercial businesses and recommending product opportunities for expansion across the division.
Spearhead product design proposals for Executives' approval by assessing market relevance, estimating profitability and liaising with key stakeholders.
Provide Product advice on initiatives across the division, i.e. Rewards,
Open for Business, Get More, Chip, etc.
Business Operation and Management
Ensure the delivery of high standards of product service support and collaboration with partners.
Regular liaise with IB partners, association partners and external consultants to drive Credit Card strategies/innovation across the division, including regular communication and presentations
to drive key Credit Card messages.
Process Improvement and Re-engineering
Evaluate and support the ongoing management of a cost-effective and administratively efficient
suite of products by investigating and proposing process improvements with Operations, Systems, etc.

Required Competencies :
-Undergraduate degree, MBA in a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of retail financial services experience.
- Experience in product or project management.
- Well developed knowledge of retail banking products and related processes.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- English and Spanish fluency is highly desirable.
- Well developed knowledge of Microsoft Office tools; particularly with Excel.
- Experience in developing business cases and associated financial analysis.
